Day 1

Arrival to Tbilisi International Airport. Transfer to hotel. Staying in Tbilisi.

Day 2

Mtskheta and Tbilisi Surroundings. 

Briefing before the trip, handing over jeeps. The group will head to Trialeti Mountain Range. Didgori Battle Site. Arrival to Mtskheta, visiting Svetitskhoveli cathedral (Living pillar cathedral) dating back from first Christian period. Staying in hotel in Mtskheta.

Day 3

Pshavi – Khevsureti – Shatili – Mutso. 

Cars enter Aragvi valley. The first location to pass is Jinvali water reservoir. Then the road will go deep to valley and enter Pshavi, small historical region that lies at foothills of Grater Caucasus mountains. The road continues deeper in the valley and goes up to Dtvisjvari pass, one of highest in Europe - 2676 meters. It’s the only road to Shatili (Khevsureti), medieval fortress and fortified dwelling complex. Next, along river banks the road goes to Mutso village, almost completely abandoned a century ago. The village has retained its original architecture, towers, stone houses and other buildings. After visiting Mutso, cars come back to Shatili to nice local guest house. Staying in Shatili.

Day 4 

Ananuri – Kazbegi – Gergeti Trinity Church.

The first stop is Jinvali water reservoir and Ananuri fortress. This medieval complex was a castle of eristavi (dukes) of Aragvi region. Then you get to Jvari (Cross) pass situated at a height of 2379 meters from where you can admire fascinating views on Caucasus. Soon the road enters Kazbegi. The main attraction point in Kazbegi is Gergeti Trinity Church located on the top of the mountain at the elevation of 2170 meters. Staying in Kazbegi.

Day 5 

Journey to Tbilisi – Wine Tasting – Airport.

Arrival to Tbilisi. Visiting Wine Gallery and tasting of ancient Georgian wines. Free time. Transfer to Tbilisi International Airport.
